KCA Convention Intern

KCA has an opportunity for college students to assist with the KCA Convention & Trade Show. This industry event has over 1,500 attendees and a trade show with more than 100 exhibitors.

This intern position provides a unique opportunity for students to gain first-hand experience and to interact with leaders from every segment of the cattle and beef industry.

Although this is an unpaid work experience, KCA will provide the student’s convention registration, lodging and certain meals while at annual convention. Students are responsible for their own travel to and from convention, along with all incidental expenses.

Students will need to work all day on both January 11 and 12 at the Lexington Convention Center in Lexington, KY. KCA will be selecting multiple students for this position. To apply, please email nwhitaker@kycattle.org with a letter of interest by December 29, 2018.



KCA Spring Intern

KCA is currently seeking an intern for the 2018 spring semester (January 8 - May 4). Intern must be able to give a minimum of 10 hours a week in the KCA office, located in Lexington, KY.

The overall responsibility will be to support the day-to-day operations of the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association in order to protect, advance and be a strong voice for all of Kentucky’s beef producers.  This job requires working with staff from the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association, the Kentucky Beef Network and the Kentucky Beef Council, gaining experience in Agriculture production, communications, business, and legislation.  A KCA Intern needs to be well rounded to perform any task from any of these departments.
